Calidad educativa y rendimiento académico en estudiantes de una universidad privada de la ciudad de Lima

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar la relación entre la calidad educativa y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de una universidad privada de la ciudad de Lima. Se trata de una investigación no experimental, transversal correlacional no causal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 168 estudiantes. Como instrumentos se utilizaron la versión modificada del SERVQUAL y el registro de notas. Los resultados indicaron que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables estudiadas (p>.05), por lo que se acepta la hipótesis general, que sostenía que existe relación entre la calidad educativa y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de una universidad privada de la ciudad de Lima. Sin embargo, no existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre las dimensiones de la calidad educativa y el rendimiento académico (p>.05). Las implicancias de los resultados han sido discutidas.

The objective of this research was to identify the relationship between the educational quality and the academic performance of students of a private university in the city of Lima. It is a non-experimental, cross-correlational non-causal investigation. The sample consisted of 168 students. As instruments, the modified version of SERVQUAL and the record of notes were used. The results indicated that there is a statistically significant relationship between the variables studied (p> .05), so the general hypothesis is accepted, which held that there is a relationship between educational quality and academic performance in students of a private university in the city. from Lima. However, there is no statistically significant relationship between the dimensions of educational quality and academic performance (p> .05). The implications of the results have been discussed.
