The present investigation is a psychometric study, and its objective is to determine the psychometric properties of the Subjective Mental Workload Scale in subordinate personnel of a military institution. The sample consisted of 301 subordinates who work in the different military bases of Peru, to whom the Subjective Scale of Mental Workload was applied virtually, which is made up of 25 items, the first 5 evaluate the perception of worker of the environmental conditions of his workplace, and the remaining 20 items evaluate five dimensions: cognitive demands and complexity of the task, characteristics of the tasks, temporary organization, pace of work and consequences for health; and the Job Satisfaction Scale, which consists of 15 items, where the first 7 items assess personal factors and the next eight items assess contextual factors, such as worker satisfaction. The data analysis was carried out through 5 phases: first, the validity of the instruments was established, second, the internal consistency was determined through Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's Omega coefficient, third, the statistical calculations were carried out, fourth, the distribution of the information through the Shapiro Wilk normality test and fifth, the correlation between the variables was sought using a model of latent variables.
