The aim of this experimental study was to determine the in vitro antibacterial effect of Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil against two prominent oral pathogens, Aggregatibacter Actinomycetemcomitans ATCC 29522 and Streptococcus Mutans ATCC 25175. Concentrations of 50%, 75%, and 100% were evaluated using the tube dilution method to establish the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and the agar diffusion technique for Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC). Readings were taken at 24, 48, and 72 hours to measure inhibition zones. Results showed an MIC of 75% for both bacteria, with an MBC of 50%. The average effective concentration for antibacterial activity against both pathogens was 50%. In conclusion, Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil demonstrated significant in vitro antibacterial effects against Aggregatibacter Actinomycetemcomitans and Streptococcus Mutans.
