This research study called; Knowledge and care of central venous catheter in nurses of the intensive care unit, Regional Teaching Hospital Cajamarca - 2024, the objective is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of care of central venous catheter in nurses of the intensive care unit, Regional Teaching Hospital Cajamarca - 2024. The study was cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational, with a sample of 40 nurses; The survey was used as a technique, a questionnaire instrument and a checklist. The results were; 65.0% have a good level of knowledge, and 35.0% show a fair level of knowledge; 87.5% have a good level of care, and 12.5% have a regular level of care; 87.5% show a good level of knowledge and care; and 27.5% have a regular level of knowledge and a good level of care. It is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between both variables (p<0.05) rho = 0.372 with probability p = 0.018 being less than or equal to 0.05 (5% significance level), accepting the alternative hypothesis of the study
