Abstract: Con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre las comorbilidades y la mortalidad
materna en la Región Piura, 2013-2022, se realizó un estudio de relación, en una
muestra de 317 historias clínicas. La Razón de Muerte Materna más alta en la
región Piura, fue el año 2015 con 112.7 por 100 mil nacidos vivos, en el 2021, 110.6
por 100 mil nacidos vivos; según el tipo de muerte materna: directa 69.7 %, indirecta
(29.3%) e incidental (0.9%); las causas genéricas de mortalidad materna fueron
hemorragias 36.3%, hipertensión gestacional 25.5%, infección/sepsis 7.9%; las
características generales fueron: el 50.5% entre 30-49 años, el 34.4%
corresponden a la red de Salud Luciano Castillo Colonna, conviviente el 57.1%,
ama de casa el 75.7%, de secundaria incompleta el 28.1%. Las características
obstétricas: el 58.7% de las fallecidas tuvieron de 3 a más gestaciones, período
intergenésico < 3 años 37.1%; gestantes controladas 57.7.%. Según el momento
del fallecimiento, durante el puerperio 64.0%, embarazo 27 .5% y parto 8.5%. Las
comorbilidades presentes en la Mortalidad Materna mayormente fueron anemia
61.5%, infección del tracto urinario 60.6%, obesidad 42.3%. Las comorbilidades
como anemia ( X2 =19.407 p=0.00 < 0.05 ), obesidad ( X2 =6.027 p=0.049 < 0.05 ),
cardiopatías ( X2 = 14.023 p=0.001 < 0.05 ), neoplasias ( X2 = 11.869 p=0.003 <
0.05 ) y VIH ( X2 = 12.232 p=0.002 < 0.05), tiene relación significativa con el
momento del fallecimiento
With the aim of determining the relationship between comorbidities and maternal mortality in the Piura Region, 2013-2022, a relationship study was carried out in a sample of 317 clinical records. The highest Maternal Death Rate in the Piura region was in 2015 with 112.7 per 100 thousand live births, in 2021, 110.6 per 100 thousand live births; according to the type of maternal death: direct 69.7%, indirect (29.3%) and incidental (0.9%); the generic causes of maternal mortality were hemorrhages 36.3%, gestational hypertension 25.5%, infection/sepsis 7.9%; General characteristics were: 50.5% between 30-49 years old, 34.4% belong to the Luciano Castillo Colonna Health Network, 57.1% live with a partner, 75.7% are housewives, 28.1% have not completed secondary school. Obstetric characteristics: 58.7% of the deceased had 3 or more pregnancies, intergenital period < 3 years 37.1%; supervised pregnant women 57.7%.
