In the present study, the topic of alternative types of construction methods for riparian protections was discussed, with the purpose of expanding the information on riparian protections since the problematic reality of this study is the manifestations of invasions of waters from the river rimas with what had antecedents of later years, harming the population of landslides of their houses and diverse environmental problems like material and economic affectations that had to face the settlers, since the local government does not look for alternatives of solution, in this study it is intended to launch solution alternatives making known the use of gabions and geotextiles with recent construction methods to propose their use in construction of river barriers that in the future could be very useful in the face of any natural disaster. We sought to gather information from theoretical sources, studies of other background, database of the place of the facts, this study is considered to be descriptive, correlational type of basic qualitative level. For the results, it is proposed to use survey and interview techniques to process the information later.
