The problem of higher education in Peru proposes innumerable problems to which I respond from my humble position to the following problem: What is the relationship between learning strategies with the academic performance of students in the Phytopathology area of the National University del Centro - Huancayo, 2019 ?, The work is based on the process of the scientific method the approach applied is the quantitative approach since we make use of statistics to test the work hypotheses the work had as a sample of 110 students to whom The instrument was applied to them, which for the present investigation was based on a questionnaire. After processing the data, the working hypothesis was tested, obtaining a ratio of 0.843. After the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is a very high relationship between the learning strategies and the academic performance of the students of the Phytopathology area of the National University of the Center - Huancayo, 2019, when a non-parametric correlation Rho de Spearman is found (ρ = 0.843; p = .000) with a positive direction and very high magnitude; Therefore, we can say if the learning strategies improve, the academic performance will improve in the faculty.
