The present research entitled Learning Strategies in the English Language Proficiency in Students of the National University of Education "Enrique Guzmán y Valle" 2017, is located in the city of Lima. Which has as its purpose the influence of learning strategies in the English domain in 180 students. The study was descriptive and correlational, not experimental and transversal design. In terms of data collection, the tools of the Rebecca Oxford Language Learning Strategies questionnaire and a standardized test of English application were used. The findings indicate that the statistically significant correlations between the different categories of learning strategies are all positive, in the same way it is appreciated that English proficiency has a moderate relationship. Finally, it has come to the reality that learning strategies influence in terms of English language proficiency; Therefore, I can assure that if the use of a good use of the learning strategies the results of the English language proficiency are favorable.
