This research work has been developed to improve the quality of life in terms of health and hygiene, which is why the main objective is to propose the best design improvement of the drinking water and sanitation system for the annexes of Bello Horizonte and Cara, District of Chillia, province of Pataz, department of La Libertad in 2018. The sample in the Bello Horizonte annex was 108 inhabitants and the sample in the Cara annex was 69 inhabitants. The type of research according to the purpose pursued is an applied research and according to its design is non experimental - descriptive. We used the observation techniques, surveys, statistical data of the INEI, data processing, design and calculation of the systems under study. In the process of the information was made use of the standards E. 050 Soils and Foundations, OS 010, OS 030, OS 050, OS 070 and OS 100 of the National Building Regulations, as well as parameters established in the Technical Standard of Design : “Technological Options for Sanitation Systems in the Rural Environment“ of the Ministry of Housing Construction and Sanitation, under that concept the components of the potable water and sanitation system were designed. The results for the Bello Horizonte annex were a new design of 2 hillside-type catchments, 1138.54 ml line of conduction. with a 2 “PVC pipe, 5 pressure-breaking chamber type 7, a reservoir of 3m3, distribution network 2372.76 ml. with 1 1/2 “PVC pipe, 29 residential connections. As a sanitation solution, 29 hydraulic UBS connections with a design period of 10 years are proposed, each with a 600-liter digester and 2 infiltration trenches of 0.60 x 0.80 x 5.50 meters. The results for the Cara annex were a new design of 2 hillside type intake, 1614 ml line. with a PVC pipe 2 “, 2 pressure breakers type 7, a reservoir of 3m3, distribution network 925.33 ml. with 1 1/2 “PVC pipe, 17 residential connections. As a sanitation solution, 17 hydraulic UBS connections with a design period of 10 years are proposed, each with a 600-liter digester and 2 infiltration trenches of 0.60 x 0.80 x 5.50 meters. And finally, the plan of good use and conservation of the UBS with hydraulic drag was developed to guarantee its design period. In this way, the design proposal is concluded, covering all the beneficiaries of both annexes.
