In this research work, a study is carried out on the impact of agricultural productivity on the monetary poverty of households in the regions of Peru. To do this, the Employment and Income and Agricultural Production modules of the EHAHO microdata Updated Methodology of Living Conditions and Poverty for the year 2022 are used. Subsequently, the theoretical model applied is Leon Walras' General Market Equilibrium; this model explains how the income of members of family households is affected by the level of agricultural productivity. The stylized facts reveal that the monetary income (in terms of soles) of agricultural laborers is in a range of S/ 80.00 to S/ 250.00, which implies that a greater proportion of agricultural workers are below the poverty line. Likewise, more than 50% of workers who belong to the agricultural sector are in the central, southern and northern highland region; this is related to the correlation between the poverty rate by region and the number of agricultural workers. Regarding the methodology strategy, a Fixed Effects Panel Data econometric model is used to estimate the impact that the total income of family households has in the event of a shock to agricultural productivity. The model also subsequently understands that agricultural productivity is calculated through the yield of crops that are affected by rainfall.
