The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of three optimal portfolio methods and evaluate the profitability of investments of companies listed on the Lima Stock Exchange in 2021. 10 variable income securities were selected from the universe of securities listed on the Lima Stock Exchange as of 2021. These values are part of the investment portfolios with participations between 65.1% and 80.2% of five important investment funds in Peru. These were used for modeling the Markowitz method and determining the efficient frontier using financial analysis tools such as data analysis - covariance (XLMiner Analysis ToolPark) and Excel solver. Modeling by the Value at Risk "VaR" method was carried out using the financial analysis tools of Excel's XLMiner Analysis ToolPark; while to carry out the Value Investing Method an Excel spreadsheet was used. The returns of investment portfolios determined through the Markowitz method allow the investor to improve the profitability of their investment portfolio. On the other hand, the historical VaR method allows the investor to obtain information on the risks of loss of value of the different investment portfolios, decisively influencing decision-making to obtain the best profitability of their investment. Finally, the Value Investing model allows obtaining information about the financial strengths of each company and their respective dividend returns and the appreciation of the share price over time, allowing the investor to improve the profitability of a diversified investment portfolio. The research allowed us to conclude that the greater the use of Markowitz methods, value at risk VaR and Value Investing; greater success in the profitability of an investment portfolio of companies listed on the Lima Stock Exchange by 2021.
