The cat has appeared in different artistic representations both in cinema and on television, literature, music, sculpture, painting, video games, etc. Its charm has crossed cultural barriers and has become a symbol of grace, delicacy, cunning and in some cases even malice, that is why in the present research aims to recreate superstitions towards cats, thus encouraging the people of Cusco to raise awareness about the mistreatment of these due to superstitious beliefs, these superstitions constitute part of the universal culture, transcending from generation to generation and consequently show repercussions on the quality of life of these animals, such is the case of black cats that by color. They present are excluded and in many cases sacrificed in a desire to be a component in an act of witchcraft. The methodology used in this research was descriptive, since different techniques and instruments were used to collect data such as interviews and documentation that exhibits beliefs about superstitions. It is interpretive because it conceives reality in a personal way when it is executed in an artistic work for the better understanding of the public. Finally, it is explanatory in creative processes since the artist, through his work, exposes the superstitions towards cats to the public in order to raise awareness. With this, a conclusion is reached which shows us that the Cusco population is unaware of the consequences caused to cats by the beliefs that have become innate today and that it is expected that little by little awareness will be taken and that it leads to the well-being of said animal.
