Aleuropleurocelus sp. is a whitefly that usually found on the undersides of the leaves of avocado causing damage by sucking sap, cause fabric yellowing and weaken the plant. The study was conducted at the research laboratory of the Klaus Raven Büller Museum of Entomology, a part in environmental conditions and the other in the laboratory. The objective was to determine the biology and behavior of Aleuropleurocelus sp in avocado ‘Hass’. The immature stages are always on the undersides of the leaves. The incubation period ranged between 12 - 22 days at 22.2 - 29.8 °C and 70.1 - 73.8% HR. The nymph period was between 11 - 17 days at 24.3 - 30°C and HR 69.5 - 72.5%; where the nymph I developes between 5 - 9 days, the nymphal II between 2 - 5 days and the nymph III between 2 - 5 days. The puparium developes between 6 - 11 days at 24.4 - 31.4°C y HR 70.1 - 71.6%. The development cycle was completed between 31 - 47 days. The sex ratio was from 1.1:1 to 1.3:1 female/male. The viability of eggs ranged between 87 - 100%. The longevity of mated females (17 - 25 days) was greater was higher than in unmated (13 - 18 días). The same occurred with the mated males where longevity ranged between 4 - 7 days; while in unmated was, between 2 - 4 days. The pre - oviposition period ranged between 2 - 3 days; while oviposition period, between 13- 17 days, with capacity of oviposition of 61 - 95 eggs/female. Aleuropleurocelus sp. is viviparous and has no parthenogenesis. Oviposition is individual on the underside of leaves. The highest percentage of hatching occurs between 8am and noon. The duration of the molt ranged between 20 - 28 minutes. And, the highest percentage of adult emergence occurred between 5 am and 8 am.
