Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about emergency oral contraception in university students at a university in Lima Norte. Materials and methods: The approach used was quantitative, the methodological design was correlational and transversal. The population was made up of 220 first and second year nursing students from a private university in Lima Norte. The technique applied was the survey and the instruments were, knowledge questionnaire about emergency oral contraception and attitude questionnaire about emergency oral contraception. Results: According to the general hypothesis, there is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes (p<0.05). According to the specific hypotheses, there is a significant relationship between knowledge in its general concepts dimension and attitudes (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between knowledge in its general concepts dimension and attitudes (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between knowledge in its indications dimension and attitudes (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between knowledge in its side effects dimension and attitudes (p<0.05). According to knowledge about emergency oral contraception, it had a medium value (48.6%), followed by high (27.3%) and low (24.1%). In attitudes about emergency oral contraception, indifference was most common (59.1%), followed by acceptance (29.1%) and rejection (11.8%). Conclusions: A relationship was found between the main variables, knowledge and attitudes.
