Objective: To determine the relationship between lifestyle habits and the prevention of diabetes mellitus in adults attending a health center in Lima Norte. Materials and Methods: The research followed a quantitative approach with a correlational and cross-sectional design. The entire population (120 adults) who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was considered for the fieldwork. Results: The study findings indicate that, at a specified significance level (p < 0.05), the null hypothesis is rejected, accepting the alternative hypothesis and thereby establishing a significant relationship between lifestyle habits and the prevention of diabetes mellitus in the studied sample. Moreover, the majority of the population demonstrated a lifestyle categorized as somewhat low, with room for improvement (56.3%), while only two participants in the Congratulations dimension exhibited a FANTASTIC lifestyle. Finally, the majority of the population displayed a regular level of prevention (70%), followed by a poor level (27.5%). Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between lifestyle habits and the prevention of diabetes mellitus in adults attending a health center in Lima Norte. A high percentage of respondents exhibited lifestyles in the dimension categorized as somewhat low, with room for improvement. A regular level of prevention prevailed in 7 out of 10 respondents
