This research aims to design the reinforcement of the flexible pavement on the Huanchaco road section from Huanchaco roundabout to Quebrada Río Seco Huanchaco, using deflections measured with the Benkelman beam. To achieve this, we will conduct a surface evaluation of the flexible pavement using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) methodology. This methodology involves an on-site inspection, which assesses and measures surface failures present in the study section, ranking them based on severity and quantity. The resulting PCI score of 62.82 indicates that the pavement condition is GOOD. The second procedure applied in this study involves projecting traffic for 20 years to determine the Design Equivalent Standard Axle Load (ESAL), which indicates a Tp8 traffic type. The third procedure evaluates pavement condition using deflections measured with the Benkelman beam, applying the CONREVIAL methodology. This assesses the condition of the pavement layers, particularly the subgrade in this case, resulting in a classification of CASE 2 according to the Road Manual: soils, geology, geotechnics, and pavements. With these results, the next step was to design structural reinforcement for a design ESAL of 7,500,000.00. It is recommended to apply an 8 cm thick asphalt concrete reinforcement layer for both the right and left lanes
