Cooperatives are a form of organization that provides possibilities for farmers to improve their quality of life. For this reason, this research seeks to analyze the impact generated by the cooperative model on the socioeconomic development of farmers who are members of a cooperative. The study was carried out in the province of Jaén; given that it is one of the areas with the highest coffee production in the Cajamarca region, where more than 80% of its hectares are dedicated to this activity and almost half of the population (48%) lives in rural areas. The research is descriptive with a mixed approach. For the development, a survey, interviews and an observational sheet were used. The sample size of the survey was 92 producers associated with the Sol & Café cooperative. The main conclusion is that positive results are observed in the five dimensions analyzed, reaching an average of 75%. In relation to the services and security dimension and the education dimension, a 73% positive impact was obtained, 74% in the productive and participatory dimension, 100% in the income and financial dimension and 77% in health. Likewise, it can be observed that the statistics obtained are better than the INEI (2017) and CENAGRO (2012) survey; However, social gaps detailed in the conclusions and recommendations section are still evident.
