The thesis focuses on evaluating the stability and viability of a modified boat design for passenger transportation. Through parametric measurements and 3D modeling, it is determined that the boat can safely accommodate 40 crew members, distributed over two decks. In addition, the weight and center of gravity of the boat are analyzed, ensuring static and dynamic stability using hydrostatic and cross curves. Additionally, it is evaluated that the selection of two 115 hp outboard motors is adequate to reach a maximum speed of 16.5 knots without compromising the stability of the boat by evaluating the resistance to progress and power-speed. The importance of obtaining accurate information and additional documentation to meet stability requirements is highlighted. This work is a methodological contribution for the modifications of passenger transport boats with respect to the increase in passengers.
