The research explained below was carried out with the purpose of comparing whether the values of the mechanical properties of the weld beads obtained when welding using combinations of filler materials (electrodes) are equal to the values with which they are designed. or qualifies the WPS, which is generally the average value of the properties indicated by the standard. The experience was carried out under a quantitative approach at an explanatory level with an experimental design based on laboratory testing and correlational scope. For the tests,8 coupons were prepared, which were prepared using electrodes determined before the coupon manufacturing, taking as a variable independently the beads and welded joints of each coupon, and as dependent variables the mechanical and chemical properties After the tabulation of data obtained from the standards used, with which the values that are usually used were obtained, the tests were carried out according to the established standards AWS D 1.1 and AWS A 5.1 AWS 5.5, obtaining the experimental data to then be compared with those obtained with the standard, and after being statistically analyzed with the Pearson test which allowed me to affirm that the values of the mechanical properties, obtained in the cords experimentally, are not equal to those generally used.
