This research was carried out at the UNI National Hydraulics Laboratory. The objective has been to evaluate and determine the best efficiency of a prototype of the hydraulic ram pump multipulser. To do this, the spring strokes were varied by 0.86 mm, the number of impelle valves wasvarie(working with 1, 2 and 3 valves), the impulsre valves were configured in series and parallel, and the diameter of the pump was of decreased of ram from 11/2“ to 1“. During the tests for each in prototype, the discharge flow and the lost flow were quantified. Starting from the tests developed, it was observed that the spring stroke has a direct relationship with the efficiency up to an optimal point, the number of driving valves has an inverse relationship with the efficiency, the efficiency of the ram pump with 2 drivers valves in series and with 2 drivers valves in parallel are almost the same, the efficiency of the ram pump with 3 drivers valves in parallel is higher than what with 3 drivers valves in series, and the reduction of the diameter of the ram pump increases the efficiency. Finally, in the investigation, the best efficiency was determined for 1“ ram diameter pump, with 2 impeller valves in series and a spring stroke of 1.72 mm; which provides an efficiency of 96.26%, with a discharge flow of 20.41 L/min and at a discharge height of 5 m.
