Pluspetrol, summarized as PPC, plans to install a new wet gas compression system at the wellhead due to the depletion process of the wells in blocks 88 and 56. After the installation of said compression system, it is estimated that the content of Moisture in the wet gas to be processed at the Malvinas Gas Plant increases from 65 lb water/MMSCF to around 95 lb water/MMSCF gas processed daily. In said evaluation, it is also evident that the existing dehydration system of cryogenic train 5 is at the limit of its capacity to obtain an acceptable moisture content in the dehydrated gas of less than 7 lb water/MMSCF. This is due to the current operating conditions, where said train already operates with a higher load of wet gas and a moisture content at the upper design limit. The definitive solution for this problem is to install a new glycol dehydration skid that allows obtaining a regenerated glycol with a purity greater than 99.1 wt%, necessary to reduce the increase in humidity described above. The design conditions of said system foresee reaching a humidity content of the humid gas at the outlet of the theoretical dehydration system of 7 lb water/MMSCF processed gas. However, it is necessary to run the performance test or Performance Test of the new dehydration skid with glycol to identify the optimal operating point of the system and issue recommendations that allow reaching the desired glycol purity considering other factors such as the associated consumption indicator. of glycol in Gal TEG/MMSCF and operating costs in USD.
