The objective of this research is to develop the analysis of the inadequate protection and establish an adequate protection between the protection elements installed in the medium voltage network in 22.9 kV of the Andahuasi 01 (AD-01) feeder, of the Sayán-Humaya electrical system, belonging to the company Enel Distribución Perú S.A., in order to improve the continuity of the electrical service due to the occurrence of electrical failures in the feeder that in On occasions, the entire feeder is opened, leaving all agro-export customers and the population of the town of Andahuasi out of service. For the analysis of the protection of the AD-01 feeder, the modeling of the medium voltage feeder was carried out, considering the components of the distribution network, the load of each transformer and distribution and PMI, the fuses, and the protection settings of the recloser and the feeder header relay. Subsequently, the analysis of power flow and short circuit was carried out in the most remote and local part of each group of feeder protection equipment, to achieve coordination with the maximum and minimum value of short-circuit current recorded by each recloser. With these currents, the protection analysis was carried out, concluding that for the evaluated scenarios the coordination margin is at least 150 ms, to guarantee selectivity and adequate protection between the teams.
