This research is mainly based on the implementation of a Business Intelligence model based on opinion mining on comments to publications expressed by users on social networks. The model will be implemented in an insurance brokerage company in Peru. One of the great challenges that companies face in the new information age is having the ability to transform data into information and convert information into knowledge for decision making. Likewise, in recent years companies face new challenges such as: innovation, increased use of the Internet, social networks, smartphones, connectivity, and the ubiquity of people. To achieve success in innovation, a deep understanding of customers is essential. There are three motivations for people to be willing to receive and transmit content from a company or brand on social networks: social, emotional, and functional. These motivations are primarily based on, such as sending signals to others about one's expertise, uniqueness, or social status, sharing positive or negative feelings about brands, and the tendency to obtain and provide information to others. Consequently, companies tend to invest more resources in advertising on social networks, which means that company publications reach more users in a much more segmented market, which allows users to react through their opinions and emotions expressed. in comments on social networks. According to the IAB Peru advertising investment report, despite the adverse context we are facing such as the coronavirus pandemic, digital advertising investment in Peru grew by 6% in 2020. This report highlights the growth of +6 % the Video format and +7% in the Social Ads format (advertising on social networks). Unstructured data is dominating structured data with up to 80% volume compared to its counterpart, structured data at just 20%. According to a report from the Statista.com portal in 2021, on the Facebook social network platform there are 2.79 billion users who connect monthly, it is also one of the social network platforms that has the greatest interaction from its users, according to figures from the Zephoria Digital Marketing portal in 2019 every 60 seconds 510,000 comments are posted, 293,000 statuses are updated, and 136,000 photos are uploaded. Likewise, according to figures from the portal wearesocial.com & hootsuite.com, in Peru there are 24 million active users on social networks, which represents 73% of the population. 23 million of these active users use a smartphone to access the internet, which represents 70% of the population. According to the statistical figures of the Superintendencia Nacional de Banca Seguros y AFP as of June 2017, there are 22 insurance companies in Peru. Insurance companies can be grouped into 3 categories, according to the branches in which they are focused. Regarding the insurance market, according to the statistical figures of the Superintendencia Nacional de Banca Seguros y AFP as of December 31, 2020, there are 18 insurance companies, which are grouped into 3 categories, according to the branches in which they are focused. Seven companies are dedicated to General and Life risks, seven exclusively dedicated to General risks, and four are exclusively dedicated to Life risks. The market share of the insurance sector is made up of the following companies: Rímac with 30.64%, Pacífico Seguros with 26.06%, La Positiva with 8.15% and Mapfre Perú with 8.14%, which are the most recognized insurance companies in the insurance sector in Peru. The annualized production of Net Insurance Premiums (PSN) amounted to S/ 14,021.4 million, -0.7% percentage points compared to December 2019. The composition of the production was led by the General risks with S/ 5,340,241 and a participation of 38.1%, +1.3 percentage points to that registered in December 2019. In turn, Life Insurance with S/ 4,722,209 and a participation of 33.7%, -0.4 percentage points compared to December 2019. Insurance companies face the challenge of designing more competitive producís and Services that are supported by technology in order to offer their clients reduced insurance premium payments. According to the Forbes report, driving safely can save insurance users up to 30% on the payment of their insurance premiums. This Business Intelligence research will allow operations executives, claims executives, general management, commercial management and operations management to be able to analyze the opinions and emotions expressed through comments on social networks, to make objective decisions based on data, regarding the level of satisfaction that users have about the services delivered by the company, which will contribute to the improvement of customer service. The source of information for this research are the comments on the publications of companies in the insurance sector that are available on the social network platform: Facebook, which will be extracted through crawler programs and API services, which apply classification algorithms. of text will be classified into a category and through Sentiment Analysis techniques, behavior patterns and forms of expression that users have when reacting positively, negatively or neutrally about a product or service will be identified. In the present investigation, technical concepts related to: Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Text Mining, Text Classification, Sentiment Analysis, RESTful API Services will be found. Additionally, it will be possible to find the procedures to be able to intégrate these concepts through software and hardware components, achieving synchronization in their operation to later implement projects in a concrete way that are integrated into the business processes of a company in the insurance sector and that allows employees to make correct decisions about the behavior of users on social networks, allowing the development of strategies to improve the level of customer service.
