The present research work was carried out in a gold mining company in northern Peru and aims to optimize the recovery of gold in the flotation process by implementing a flotation cell avoiding the overgrinding that minerals with gold content suffer in the process. . grinding process, at the same time recovering valuable mineral before entering the conventional flotation process with WEMCO self-priming cells. In a first stage, the metallurgical feasibility was validated at the laboratory level, achieving an estimate of gold recovery. The experimental design was then employed to find the significant parameters of the flash flotation process and optimize them. Five experimental factors that intervene in flash flotation were analyzed: Percentage of solids (%S), Collector (Z-6), Foaming Agent (MT- 346), Activators (CuSO4) and (AR-404), where the collector and foaming agent The most significant independent variables turned out to be moving to an optimization stage. Subsequently, the SK - 240 flash flotation cell was selected and implemented and using the optimized significant parameters it was concluded that, when processing a mineral with a gold grade in the head <10; [10; 12>; [12; 14>; [14; 16>; <16 12> gAu/TMS; gold recovery in the flotation stage increased by 1.65%, 1.40%, 1.13%, 0.85% and 0.37% respectively.
