The present investigation entitled “Diffuse control of temperature and relative humidity to reduce the mortality of baby chickens during their transport on the Lima – Ayacucho route” arises due to the high mortality rate that occurs during the transport of baby chickens from the capital Lima. towards the department of Ayacucho due to changes in temperature and relative humidity along the route, in addition the vehicles used are mostly not the most suitable without any type of conditioning. This research focuses on the areas of control, automation and instrumentation and presents the design and implementation of a fuzzy control of temperature and relative humidity in a prototype van for transporting baby chickens using a PLC SIEMENS S7-1200 model 1212C DC/DC/RLY. To carry out fuzzy logic control, the steps of fuzzification, inference and defuzzification were followed in the KOP language. The inference used was the Mamdani method and through the appropriate choice of the linguistic rules, the error produced between the set point and the signal from the temperature and relative humidity sensor is controlled. The interface used for interaction between the operator and the PLC is done through a KTP 400 Basic HMI. To condition the environment to the ideal conditions of the baby chick, a series of mechanisms are used such as a heat exchange system, ventilation system, humidification system and which are controlled by the PLC through a series of actuators such as an electric linear actuator, an ultrasonic sprayer, and fans. Fuzzy control is based on obtaining a PWM signal that regulates the air conditioning speed according to the conditions in which it is found and that, with the help of the actuators, achieves climatic comfort inside the van. In order to verify the proper functioning of the fuzzy controller, the Matlab Fuzzy Logic tool is used where it shows us the fuzzy, defuzzy values and output value of the PWM signal. Consequently, it is concluded that it is possible to carry out diffuse control of temperature and relative humidity to reduce the mortality of baby chickens during transport on the Lima – Ayacucho route by 14.5%.
