The calculation of dilution is a practice that is carried out in many underground mines in Peru, being a very important parameter not only to be able to control the grade of exploited ore, but it is also one of the important parameters for the estimation of mineral reserves. Currently, many mining companies seek not only to reduce the costs of their operations but also seek to implement and establish control parameters, it is there where the author of this work seeks to analyze the impact of dilution to increase the profitability of the mining method. long drill holes in narrow veins and in this way to see the behavior of profitability when a stope is diluted to later be able to make decisions in the operation. Previously, the author analyzes the stability of the top box of a stope in the southern area of the Angela vein using the graphic stability method to verify that the dimensions of the proposed stopes will not be found in a potential collapse scenario. The dilution analysis carried out by the author consists of carrying out a mining plan for preparation work and exploitation work using different dilution values in a narrow-veined stope to finally compare the results of the Net Present Value (NPV) and be able to find the maximum dilution value that makes the NPV zero.
