The study company is dedicated to the reception, storage, sampling, analysis, dispatch and pre-shipment of mineral concentrates; The issue of security is paramount in all its processes and for the managers of the place. This research improved the Near Miss and Inspections proactive tools; By making these improvements, reported incidents that generated some type of damage were reduced from January to October 2022. The improvements made focused on increasing the number of Near Miss reports and inspection records, as well as the quality of the reports made; After that, guarantee the execution of the actions through monitoring, the main implementations were: Visible Leadership, KPI for contractors, mobile application, security campaigns, start-up meetings, 9 rules of life, 7 golden rules, follow-up of report of substandard acts, follow-up of report of substandard conditions. The number of Near Miss reports after the improvements was 2,395 reports, this represents 67.35% of the total reports in the period from 2017 to 2022; The number of inspection records after the improvements was 289, this represents 63.10% of the total records in the period from 2017 to 2022. These reports helped manage substandard acts, substandard conditions, and other deviations in a timely manner to prevent incidents that could be derived from these immediate causes.
