The present study seeks to analyze the influence of stochastic wind behavior on the estimation of the long-term dynamic responses of a 5 MW onshore wind turbine. Due to the lack of research at the national level on this topic, this study is crucial to advance the field of national wind engineering. The methods employed in this research include stochastic analysis and outlier analysis of dynamic responses. This involves performing stochastic simulations, fitting the data to Gumbel probability distributions, statistical extrapolation procedures, and using the modified environmental contour method (MECM) to find the most probable values. The results show that ignoring the stochastic nature of wind can lead to underestimating dynamic response values by as much as a factor of 4.
