The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of the implementation of the electronic blasting system for the improvement of dilution, over-excavation, advance per shot and economic flow in horizontal labors in veins narrows. As main problem, the high percentages of dilution and over-excavation were considered, as well as lower advances per shot due to the use of non-electronic detonators, generating low productivity levels in horizontal works, leading to the implementation of electronic detonators with the purpose of improving the present study parameters. According to the methodology, the present research is of applied type, of explanatory level, quasi-experimental design, taking into account as population the preparation works in sublevels in narrow veins, with sections of 3 x 3.8 m and vein power not greater than 1 meter. Among the results acquired, it was determined that the influence of the electronic blasting system improves from 13% in the initial phase to 3% when the electronic system is installed at the level of over excavation, according to the influence on the advance per shot, taking into account a drilling length of 3. 50 meters with a base efficiency of 86% generating advances of up to 3 meters, which showed improvement when implementing electronic detonators taking average drilling efficiencies up to 91%, regarding the dilution it was taken into account that for the extraction of veins at full section a VPT of 79.41 US$/Tn as opposed to the use of electronic detonators with an extraction ratio of 60/40, which generated a VPT average of 179.51 US$/Tn and finally the economic flow indicates that the implementation of electronic detonators is economically profitable generating a profit of 101,873 US$, being the profit per shot of US$4,429, with a NPV and an IRR of $53,836 and 41% % respectively, reaching the conclusion that the implementation of electronic detonators is economically profitable, allowing to improve the parameters of dilution, over excavation, advance per shot and economic flow in horizontal works in subway mining.
