The present Work of Professional Sufficiency, we summarize the relevant information concerning the construction of a riverside defense wall using the Terramesh system and a reinforced concrete wall. In that sense, our work is entitled: Construction process of a riverside defense wall using the Terramesh system and a reinforced concrete wall – Buldibuyo district – Pataz – La Libertad. Terramesh is a versatile, reinforced soil system using earth retaining walls. It was designed to adapt to the environment, to withstand different weather conditions, to avoid pollution, and to be both economical and simple to install. Therefore, it is frequently used in the mining industry for slope stabilization purposes. The construction of the riverside defense wall using the Terramesh system, and a reinforced concrete wall took place around the facilities of Compañía Minera Caravelí S.A.C. (Level 18 pithead), within La Paccha mining area, as part of the efforts to provide social support to the local community. In our report, we describe the general characteristics of the project, the initial work planning, the construction process, and the factors concerning its execution. Similarly, we monitored and analyzed the delays and unforeseen events that affected the work schedule, improving our response and decision-making capacity in the process. Finally, we explain in detail the quality controls applied during the construction of the Terramesh wall, the safety tools used throughout the project, as well as the controls devised to protect the environment.
