The present research work was carried out in order to make available to small agro- industrial producers of blueberries, in the north of Peru, a design of refrigerated enclosures according to their production levels. It has been considered that the design of the installation guarantees the cold chain, with a rigorous analysis of the thermal load, without incurring in oversizing of equipment which could increase costs. The recommendations of the American Society Of Heating, Refrigerating And A-C Engineers [ASHRAE 2018] are followed for the calculation of thermal loads and insulation of walls and pipes. During the planning of the layout of the plant, the minimum rooms for the production process have been considered, which serve as a guide for future expansions. The selected equipment is of recognized quality, to guarantee reliability and the acquisition of spare parts.
