Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), is a mixture of hydrocarbons that has been highly dependent by Peru for decades; nowadays, there is a significant increase in the consumption of this fuel, widely used in various types of industries, domestic and automotive. This increase in the demand for LPG means that every day there are a lot of units that transport and distribute bulk LPG using tank trucks or tanker trucks for this purpose, which must comply with technical criticality guidelines established by the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin). The main objective of the present work is the elaboration of an adequate Emergency Plan in the transport of LPG in bulk, which guarantees a set of proper response actions minimizing the risks in the event of unexpected events, starting from a study of the loading process, transport and unloading, analyzing climate factors, routes and technical controls of the unit to which it is exposed throughout the LPG transport process, carrying out an adequate identification of hazards and risk assessment throughout this process. Likewise, each transport company must have an organization with senior management commitment to implementing a training plan for the emergency brigades, which are the pillars dealing with emergencies. In conclusion, by carrying out a detailed analysis of all the critical risks present throughout the LPG transport process, it is possible to reduce the risks through compliance and implementation of operational controls considered in the Emergency Plan proposed in this paper.
