The COES is in charge of coordinating the operation in real time in the SEIN. To carry out this task, a reserve must be available for the RSF in order to correct the generation-demand imbalances caused by the simultaneous action of generation deviations. RER and demand with respect to your forecast. The reserve for the RSF is determined annually following the methodology described in PR-22; however, it is observed that this methodology has several limitations, which are mentioned below: The characteristics of wind generation and photovoltaic solar generation are not considered, such as their presence during 24 hours a day or if they continue some pattern daily. There are other probability functions, besides the Gaussian, capable of modeling historical data with greater precision. Why are the deviations of wind and solar generation added in each half hour period if the origin of each deviation is independent of each other. So the problem is generated by questioning whether the current methodology is viable for a scenario where a reserve is required to correct deviations in demand, wind generation and photovoltaic solar generation simultaneously. For this reason, this thesis will propose a methodology for determining the reserve for the RSF. For this, first the historical data used to calculate the reserve for the year 2021 is taken to explain the current methodology and expose the deficiencies it presents. Then there will be a review of the methodologies used in various systems. Finally, the proposed methodology is selected and described; In addition, to verify its validity, the reserve for the year 2021 is determined and compared with the reserve obtained by the COES for the same year.
