Hospitals are very important health centers in the country due to their main role of providing service and medical care to people who need it at any time of the day. For this reason, health centers have a good infrastructure capable of supplying local demand and have medical teams, whose operation depends on constant electricity supply. In this context, the present research work develops the design of a utilization system, which includes the calculation of voltage drop, selection of conductors, calculation of grounding resistance, selection of lightning rod parameters, analysis of levels required insulation and selection of insulators, mechanical calculation of the aerial conductor, selection of medium voltage electrical equipment that make up the utilization system. This design is based on the National Electricity Code and the Standard of Procedures for the Preparation of Projects and Execution of Works in Distribution Systems and Medium Voltage Utilization Systems in Distribution Concession Areas. The proposed design complies with improving the electrical reliability of the hospital through the correct selection of the parameters mentioned above and projecting the future growth of the hospital's electrical consumption due to the growing demand for electrical service.
