This report describes the development and implementation of a network of high availability switches on a redundant structured cabling platform with fiber optic backbone, in a new and existing area of the National Rehabilitation Institute, where systems will be implemented. Computer and hospital defined according to standard of MINSA No. 119. The baseline of the scope at the level of equipment and structured cabling has been dimensioned in compliance with the technical requirements of the entity established in the bases of the technical file of the tender. The results of the operation and performance tests of the platforms described are shown. The implementation has been developed in two parts. The first focused on a structured cabling platform with a redundant fiber optic star-type trunk and switches (switch) to interconnect the existing headquarters with the new headquarters as well, shows in detail the network platform of switches (Switch) deployed in data center and communication rooms as the protocols enabled. The second focused on the integration of all the computer and hospital systems that the National Rehabilitation Institute has through Category 6A structured cabling and edge switches. The purpose of the implementation is to support data transmission and guarantee bandwidth, deploy a network for the convergence of communication systems and existing medical applications and implemented in the current and new administrative offices and healthcare areas of the National Institute of Rehabilitation.
