In the present professional sufficiency thesis, the work carried out is describe, about pavements design and some solutions of engineering and construction presented on the construction site, that were executed and planned in the work “Intercambio Vial a Desnivel El Derby – San Borja Norte”, located between kilometer 04+500 and Kilometer 05+000 of the South Pan-American Highway, in Lima department and province and of San Borja and Santiago de Surco districts, the work is Executed as part of the project “Vías Nuevas de Lima“ Section South Pan-American Javier Prado - Pucusana. The “Intercambio Vial a Desnivel El Derby“, was born as result of the constant rate of vehicular growth in the Peruvian capital, activating the trigger stipulated in the contract that drives the need to update the geometric design as a result of the increase in vehicle growth. This is to be able to contain high traffic flow demands, also contemplating the renovation of pavements in the required sectors, the design of new tracks, sidewalks, green areas, pedestrian passes, etc., without first mentioning that this important interchange is located in the South Pan-American line, directly affecting the traffic flow in this sector. In that sense, in the present work some of the solutions to the problems that arise in the field work will be described, in the areas of Pavements, geometric design, architecture, landscaping, construction, signaling and road safety, areas that were executed in the project, will also briefly describe the scope of the work and the pavement design method that was implemented.
