The present research work called “Design of a system of recruitment and selection of personnel by competencies to improve job performance in a textile company“ was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between the variables recruitment and selection with job performance, the company under study due to internal policies does not want to reveal its name. The sample is simple random probabilistic with a total of 52 workers. A questionnaire of 28 questions was administered to measure the variable recruitment and selection of personnel and the variable work performance with its 3 dimensions (achievement of objectives, work efficiency, and work initiative). Each variable of the questionnaire was evaluated with categories on a Likert scale (1= Strongly disagree, 2= Disagree, 3= Neither agree nor disagree, 4= Agree, 5= Strongly agree). To test the hypotheses, Spearman's Rho analysis was used, where a very strong positive correlation was obtained as a result of the general hypothesis between the variable recruitment and selection of personnel with job performance (p-value = .000 < 0.05 and Rho Spearman =.832). This result shows that the recruitment and selection of personnel with job performance are significantly directly related. In the same way, the recruitment and selection of personnel shows a significant relationship with the dimensions of job performance.
