This thesis develops a proposal for the monitoring of the power network in our country, which allows to account for the situational awareness of the system and allows us to anticipate in terms of decision making. Likewise, the functionalities that this technology allows us and its benefits for application in power systems are presented. On the other hand, it details the necessary components that would allow the physical measurement of the data and explains how its subsequent processing takes place for a specific application. Therefore, to develop this tool with a view to its use in real-time operation, we will use a processing algorithm which will help us, based on adequate data processing, to be able to obtain information from the measurements about the electromechanical oscillations that may be present in the network. Next, this tool will be checked with the current network published by the system operator, to observe the ability of the tool to characterize network oscillations. In addition, an architecture is proposed that involves the different necessary equipment, while the protocols used and the communication links are detailed, as well as the networks involved. Finally, the analyzes of contrasts between the results obtained and the hypothesis proposed are also presented.
