Peru is a country whose principal economic source is mining. This translates into the need for an exorbitant amount of mineral production to optimize time and generate the highest possible profitability, making it unfeasible to waste time in the process of transforming raw material into minerals available for sale. Given this need, it is necessary to reduce to the maximum the transportation time of the material from the extraction sites to the processing plant, which generates the need to design and implement a system that allows for optimizing a fast and continuous transport of the material that feeds the mill that is in the plant and continues the process of transformation of the mineral. For this document, the conveyor belt transport system will be used due to its wide application in the market. This must be with the respective considerations such as the geography of the area, climatic conditions, operating conditions, and system requirements. It is within the scope of this document to determine the necessary components for the correct application of the conveyor system. In addition, the sizing and selection of the main components mentioned above are considered, taking as a basis for calculating the dynamic analysis of the system to be used, and as a selection criterion for the technical-economic impact, they present to the project. Finally, the scope of the document includes the estimation of investment (CapEx) and operating (OpEx) costs. The scope does not include the starting and braking conditions of the belt, nor the design of each of the components that are part of the conveyor belt. The design of the control and automation systems is not part of the study. Costs and lead times for the implementation and design of protection systems in the event of highly unlikely conditions in the application area are not included. Finally, the management of the necessary permits for the application is not contemplated.
