Access to Electricity is a citizen’s right and a Country Government’s duty. Therefore, the electricity supplier should provide electrical power from the electrical distribution network at a fair price. This fair price should be regulated by the Government authority in a transparent manner for full understanding and knowledge of the electricity users. Installation cost for low tension electrical connections, that are the majority utilized by the country population, have fixed amounts defined by the Government regulatory entity for energy, mining and oil. This work reviews the existing legal, technical and economic framework of the regulated cost structure for low tension electrical connections for residential use. It includes a proposal for modification of the presentation towards simplified and understandable terms for residential users. The objective is that users can make informed decisions for acquisition that will meet their electrical power needs in their properties. It is a priority to supply information in a simple fashion, in a digital and remote access. This will be helpful to users that are interested in new technologies. It will also decrease risk for users that had to access supplier’s offices for information and processes, in particular with COVID19 health risk in mind.
