The oil production process in the concessionaire company Pluspetrol Norte located in the department of Loreto, province of the same name in the Yanayacu Zone, located in Battery Nº3 Lot 8, is carried out through a control based on wired logic, using relays, contactors, valves, among others. It is an unreliable system, where failures are generated frequently and whose downtime increases due to the difficulty to find the causes of such failures, in addition to requiring a greater number of personnel in the maintenance areas. This work describes the implementation of a control and supervision system for the oil production process and its objective is to improve the reliability of the system, reducing downtime and maintenance costs of the process. For this purpose, it is proposed to replace the wired logic solution with a solution based on programmed logic, using PLC (Programmer Logic Controller) and a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) supervision and control system. This will reduce the number of failures, process downtime, reduce maintenance costs and improve plant productivity rates.
