The modern mining is synonymous with technology, so the portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer is no exception, helping to perform the functions of mining professionals with speed, accuracy and reliability. This research work was developed in the Antapaccay mining company, Espinar province, Yauri district, Cuzco region. The objective of the research is to demonstrate the efficiency of new technologies used in mining operations (portable X-ray fluorescence equipment). For which 50 samples were collected for three types of rock that are monzonite, Diorite, Stockwork. The samples comply with the protocols and quality controls necessary to ensure the objectivity of the work and were extracted from the blasthole by the mine geology technicians on duty following the procedures established in the Antapaccay mining company, then they were processed (crushed, divided, pulverized) by SGS Peru, subsequently a part of the pulverized sample is taken to the Antapaccay chemical laboratory for its chemical analysis by respective element. Similarly, the same number of samples (counter samples) were analyzed with the portable X-ray fluorescence equipment. By analyzing the data and making direct comparisons, statistics and graphs, a great similarity is obtained between the Antapaccay laboratory chemical analysis and the FRX portable equipment. Statistically there is no significant difference in copper grade comparisons in pulverized blasthole samples.
