The work done has as purpose the calibration in power the core of Peruvian nuclear reactor RP-10 using the neutron noise technique, by means of estimation of certain nuclear parameters found experimentally. The development of this activity was con- ducted during the start-up of the implementation plan in service of the new core of the RP-10. For this, it used two compensated ionization chambers in strategic positions within the reactor, with the purpose of obtaining in each one of the CIC, the current intensity generated by the detected neutrons. Measurements were made in two different groups called PRE-PES and PES, where the first was carried out in order to find associated characteristics between the estimation of thermal power and thermal neutron flux at the position of the CIC. While the second fulfills the function of calibrating the CM4 of the new nuclear configuration. At the same time, an algorithm was developed with a graphical interface in Python 3.7. This algorithm allowed the rapid processing of files obtained experimentally and there- fore an optimal calibration, which was compared with a program validated by CNEA called FERCIN-3 and later also validated with another thermal power measurement technique called thermal balance. As a complement to the calibration, it was possible to obtain the decay constant of the prompt neutrons (αI), a fundamental variable in the safe operation of the reactor Moreover, it was also possible to observe its variation in a sub-critical state of the reactor.
