The Toromocho Mining Unit, whose owner is Minera Chinalco Peru (MCP), currently has a copper and molybdenum ore processing capacity of 117 ktpd and in this expansion project (TEP) the objective is to increase the processing capacity in 53 ktpd, for which this work develops the strategic planning of the control system commissioner for the development of test protocol with water and with load of the grinding area in such a way that the availability of the system is guaranteed, achieving the performance indices identified during the engineering phase. Commissioning is the integration and review of the operational needs of the project that includes visual inspection, checklists, on-site tests, functional performance tests by equipment and system with which the real condition of the system is verified after the phase of construction. Technical information such as electrical drawings, P&ID drawings, PFD drawings, network architectures, control philosophies and operation manuals of the milling area were reviewed. Then the commissioner documentation required for the tests was prepared and in accordance with the respective procedures for system and / or equipment according to the case. Finally, commissioning tests were carried out in the field, verifying the level of automation of the plant, integration of PLC/DCS equipment, management of historical and alarms and documentation management.
