The Thesis Guidelines for the Tourist Development of the District of Apata, province of Jauja, department of Junín, deals with the analysis of the state in which it is located the district of Apata in order to know the problem and its possibilities of development. The collection of existing information, work that was carried out in the cabinet, made it possible to identify some problems in the district of Apata. A first problem is the demographic decline of the district, as a result of the emigration of the inhabitants of Apata in search of better educational and employment opportunities. To this must be added the growing school dropout at the primary and secondary levels, due to the fact that children and young people of school age are required by their parents to carry out agricultural and livestock work. This urgency of parents for work has also led to little control over young people, the same ones who take advantage of their leisure time in unproductive activities such as computer games or association with youth groups of negative influence. The latter is considered an important factor in the cases of suicide that have occurred in recent years. In the subsequent visits to the district of Apata it was verified the abandonment in which the tourist heritage is located, especially that located in the rural areas of the district, places that were reached after following the path by access roads in poor condition. On the other hand, the adequate accommodation for the reception of tourists is limited and is much more acute during the high season, causing the tourist to spend the night in Jauja or Huancayo. Other work carried out in Apata district included conducting a survey on the perception of the apata district dweller about the existing transport service; as well as interviews with the district authorities, in order to deepen the social problems. However, visiting the district of Apata also allowed to verify its strategic location near the central road, Jauja and Huancayo, places that are reached from Lima by a central road in excellent condition. In addition, the district of Apata has varied climate, natural reason for the existence of landscapes and very attractive places, countryside, lagoons, waterfalls, forest areas and a flora rich in medicinal plants. Culturally, each of its neighborhoods and annexes are shown as an autonomous unit presenting different dances and typical parties. In view of the results, the Thesis Guidelines for the Tourist Development of the District of Apata, province of Jauja, department of Junín, proposes three tourist circuits that promote options such as nature tourism (ecotourism), rural tourism, cultural tourism, among others, according to the tourist trends presented by each area. With this in mind, the following civil engineering projects are proposed: f) Construction and maintenance of access roads. g) Construction of tourist services such as hostels or lodgings. h) Improvement and enhancement of archaeological sites. i) Implementation of self-sustaining energy sources. j) Improvement in water and drainage services. For its part, the population must have a tourist identity, manage organizational instruments and recognize it as the main activity of the district's economy, even taking into account the little interest of the authorities in tourism activity, which is still completely behind.
