This work shows that it is possible to use the ANFO in Underground Mining Operations of Company Minera Raura S.A. For this purpose, three independent variables have been evaluated. The first variable was to verify the Ventilation System with projection to the deepening of the mine, to verify in 105.40% the coverage of the entrance of fresh and clean air and the demand for air in the mine and finally to verify the balance in 3.90% of the entrance and exit of air in mine. The second variable of the control of the remaining gases after the shot was controlled in the work in 100%. In order for the mine workers to enter to work, the supervisor with his multigas equipment monitors the remaining gases and records them in the work log and monitoring board, additionally all workers have the monogas to detect the CO gas, which is the most dangerous. The third important variable to avoid the gassing accident is the safe behavior of the worker, this behavior is monitored by the collegiate supervisor through the POS “Safety Observers Program“ and the VCT “Verification of the Work Cycle“. Finally, the collegiate supervisor is evaluated monthly with more than 91% in their IDSS Management “Supervisor Safety Performance Index“. Finally, this proposal guarantees ZERO registrations for gassing accidents and a saving to the Company of US $ 409,395.38 per year due to massive use of ANFO in all its scheduled tasks.
