The annual production plan is a form of contract between a mine and the stakeholders (shareholders, owners, partners) whose fulfillment ensures the return of the mining investment. One of the problems that affect the mining business is the deviation from the production plan and the results of the operation, which is reflected in low levels of compliance and adherence. The increase in adherence to the production plan is important because it enables the long-term economic status of the mine to be controlled, guaranteeing safety, and delivering clear and achievable production plans. This research studies the relationship of adherence to the mine production plan with the planning methodology. An investigation was carried out with a quantitative approach, correlational scope, and experimental design. The data used in the analysis correspond to the adherence and compliance values of the annual production plan of a mechanized underground mine, with a variable vein width (3 - 20 meters), which exploits the deposit by the Sub Level Stoping method with a production rate of 1500 tpd. The annual production plan for the 2018 period was prepared 33% with the manual or traditional planning methodology, while in the 2019 period the planning methodology with 100% computational tools was used in all planning stages. The study concludes that adherence to the production plan for the 2019 period is higher than that obtained in the 2018 period.
