The mining sector has been affected by the outbreak of the virus known as SARS-COV-2, reducing the production of various metals compared to 2019, and compromising the performance of the mining plan due to the deficit of human resources; as a reason, the investments of various private sector companies have been significantly threatened. With this, mining companies are forced to promote projects and preparations in order to increase production and speed up the mining cycle. One of the alternatives to carry out the mining cycle on a regular basis is to speed up the preparation of infrastructure such as service chimneys (water, air, ventilation and energy) that are of vital importance; therefore, the fastest, most cost-effective and safest methodology is the Raise Boring (RBR) drilling run. The research using the Raise Boring method was carried out at the Uchucchacua Production Unit belonging to Buenaventura’s Mining Company SAA, located in the northern highlands of Lima in the province of Oyon, it is located at an approximate height of 4450 meters above sea level, from which the data corresponding to the so-called Socorro fault were analyzed. The project developed aims to analyze the correlation between drilling pressure and empirical drilling speed, allowing to determine the óptimal drilling speed appropriate in the Raise Boring drilling method. The correlation of the two parameters allowed to compare the drilling speed graphs of the different projects, defining relative speeds until obtaining one that can be adapted to the conditions in situ, and as a result to speed up the drilling process, optimize the construction times of infrastructure and comply with the planned mining cycle. In this research project, drilling parameters such as rotation (RPM), water flow (m3/h), water viscosity (s), amperage (A) and voltage (V) were intended to keep constant in the length of the borehole; to clearly analyze the parameters of drilling pressure (Mpa) and empiri Within the analysis, it was obtained that the correlation coefficient between drilling pressure and empirical drilling speed is positive; that is, if you increase the drilling pressure, you will increase the drilling speed. In turn, within the correlation analysis between these two variables, the linear function has a low linear correlation coefficient, so through the analysis with Microsoft Excel software it is defined that the polynomial function of degree 3, within the range of the study pressures, is the one that best fits reality and its correlation coefficient is higher. cal drilling speed (m/h) that are the basis of the following study. It should be noted that, the classification of the rocky massif is an important variable that must be well defined; since, during the drilling project if this varies, the studied parameters cannot be analyzed correctly and generate biased data. In the present study it was defined that the type of rock for the projects is type III, these comprise a Rock Mass Rating (RMR) that varies between 40 to 59, adequate range so that the values obtained by the correlation analysis between the drilling pressure and the drilling speed are not erroneous.
