The technical characteristics of two photovoltaic inverter technologies have been developed, regarding their ability to inject reactive power or not, for subsequent modeling in MATLAB and integration in a Low Voltage Distribution Network (RDBT) modeled in DIgSILENT where possible scenarios of the GF operating modes (constant Cosφ, Droop type voltage regulation and no regulation), load behavior and active power generation levels. Harmonic distortion indicators such as Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), harmonic currents in the different points of the test network, among other pertinent parameters, were monitored in order to analyze the effect on the harmonic content, its propagation in the different points of the network and makes a comparison of the effect of the GF operating modes, the control network being a typical low voltage distribution network. Based on the results of the simulations carried out, it has been verified that there are scenarios where harmonic pollution increases in a greater proportion, a cause of the integration of GF, with the capacity to inject reactive power, into the distribution networks. The scenarios where harmonic pollution is critical were also analyzed and established, as well the factors that contributes to it. In this way, it is also evidenced, from the analysis of national antecedents, that, at present, in the Peruvian Electric System and in the field of harmonic pollution, there is no control and / or supervision on the part of state entities, thus being able to degrade the quality of the electrical product in the low voltage distribution networks.
