The optimization of a mobile access network is a frequent and important process in the deployment stage as well as in the useful life of any mobile network because it allows improving network performance and providing optimal service to users. This work develops the stages for optimizing the coverage and quality of the 3G technology mobile access network in the districts of Ica and Parcona located in the department of Ica, using the Drive Test technique. The Drive Test technique uses the Tems Pocket and Tems Discovery software tools, which allow measuring the coverage, quality and performance of the network through the use of Quality Indicators (KPI). The levels of coverage and signal quality are important indicators, so the main areas with low levels of coverage and quality are analyzed in order to establish an analysis procedure in each of them to identify the different types of problems such as: Low coverage, Pilot Pollution, Cell interference, External interference, Incorrect definition of neighborhoods, etc. and establish the best solution in order to improve the coverage and quality of the network in addition to complying with the operator's requirements. The results obtained after the optimization of the 3G technology network show the improvement in the coverage and quality of the network, complying with the operator's requirements.
